An Efficient and sustainable product or a profitable but unsustainable product.

When faced with the complexity of factors regarding developing new products, and especially new sustainable products, companies often fall into a decision paralysis and no change is posed. This means that opportunities to improve and make the company more profitable are lost.

Currently, making a product in a sustainable way does not drive you out of the market, since it is in the process of changing towards towards sustainability. Recent studies have found 70%+ of customers prefer to buy sustainable products, so now is a great opportunity because consumers are more responsible and aware of the power they have.

At KAORA DESIGN we want to explain that using circular design thinking we can create a constant income opportunities from the design of the product to the organizational and systems changes that are included.

We make a brief comparison:

Within circular business models we must also include product as a service. That is, rent by use. In this case we would not have the benefit for the sale of the product, but if we analyze the costs well and have a long lifespan the product can be amortized quickly and throughout its operating life it is giving us a passive income. Additionally,  if the user makes a bad use and breaks it or loses it, they must pay the cost of it as if it were a new product.

As you can see, creating a sustainable product with a long service life can be beneficial for the company, users and the environment. At KAORA DESIGN we believe that it is the right bet towards profitability and business benefits.
